Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 - Voyaging

Summer Learning Journey #2             Voyaging

Activity - On your blog, write a short letter to a friend telling them about your voyage to New Zealand. In the letter be sure to tell them how you feel about moving to a new country.

Hey, there I was just telling you about my safe voyage to New Zealand. At first I was sad to be leaving and nervous . There were some bumpy waves but we have managed to get pass them. Now we have reached my new home and even though I was sad to be leaving I know that I will make some new memories here as well...

This is really awesome because you tell your feelings about how you felt when you left .If I was really sailing on that waka I would be scared of the waves and the storms and all the kind of stuff . See you in 2k18 for the winner of the summer learning journey hopefuly it's you . bye

Hey Vedel,

I think it's awesome that you have taken so well to this new experience as it can be really overwhelming, but it seems like you're keen to embark on the new adventure. I'm sure there are lots of cool new things to experience and discover!

Keep up the great work!

Nicky :)

What an amazing piece of writing that is able to explain a short move to one place to another. How did you find this task and why? Love your work

Greetings to you Vedel,
My name is Aletheia and I am a year 7 student from Tamaki Primary School who is also doing the summer learning journey programme and have already finished.I really enjoy reading your letter which was amazing.I really enjoy it when you had put your emotions in your letter like how you said "At first I was sad to be leaving and nervous " that was a good job.So Vedel have you been on a real waka before?
If you don't would you like to experience being a waka?

Cheers,
Aletheia!

Hi Aletheia
Thank you so much for commenting... I haven't been on a waka so far and I'm sure I will later on in life.. I would love the experience to go on a waka .. Have you ever been on a waka and if you have then how did you feel and if you haven't would you consider it??
