SLJ - I am finished
Thank you very much for this awesome experience over the Summer Holiday. I feel like I haven't forgot anything about last year and I had fun learning more about New Zealand and what will happen in the future. I have learnt a lot and the knowledge will stay with me. Thank you to everyone that has commented on my blog and thank you to the people that help make this blogging experience happen. I can't wait for the Winter Learning Journey because I will be taking part.

SLJ - Week 4 - Day 5
SLJ - Week 4 - Day 5
Activity 1 - It may be hard to imagine, but one day you will graduate from high school and it will be time to decide what to do next. You may want to study at university, become an apprentice, go to training college, travel, or start working. There are so many options!
Take a minute to think about your future. What would you like to do when you finish school? Would you like to work in a specific job? Would you like to study at university? What would you study? Maybe you’d even like to move overseas. Share your thoughts and ideas on your blog site. There are no wrong answers!
I have thought for 2 years about what I would want to do after college and here are my plans. First I will go to University to get a degree in order to become a lawyer. I would then go and do more studies and to be starting to be a family lawyer. While I am a family lawyer I will move to Los Angels and get a house there. I will also be a family lawyer there as well.
Activity 2 - Let’s imagine that you’ve just learned to drive, and your family has decided to buy you a brand new car. You are allowed to choose from any of the following designs:

Activity 2 - Let’s imagine that you’ve just learned to drive, and your family has decided to buy you a brand new car. You are allowed to choose from any of the following designs:
On your blog please tell us which of the three cars you would choose and why.
I would choose the third car hands down because if there is a earthquake or even a tsunami then the car will turn into a jet and fly out of there. I would love if they made cars like this then I could use it for emergencies. But they have to make it in vans for families that are big like mine.
Activity 3 - There is a new movie out in cinemas at the moment called Blade Runner 2049.
It is a movie about what the world will be like in the future. Imagine that you able to travel through time and that you can see what the world will look like in 2099.
On your blog write a description of what New Zealand will be like at that time (80 – 90 years from now). What kind of houses will people live in? What will they eat? Where will they work?
I imagine that we will be living in either houses that are invisible or they will be floating. I got some of these thoughts from a movie Terminator. I can see people ordering food and in a image it appears and is ready to be eaten. I would say they are either eating Krispy Kreme Doughnuts or Cheerios or even a steak meal. We would work online because I can see technology evolving through the years. I can say that what ever happens in the future I am ready and prepared for what ever happens.

SLJ - Week 4 - Activity 2 and 3
SLJ - Week 4 - Activity 2 and 3 - Day 4
I would love to be a farmer when I am older because you get to be out in nature and get to look after animals. I would also like to be a farmer because you get to make your own milk and many more food. The video that I watched persuaded me to want to be a farmer because I my aunt said "That if you become a farmer that you would always get sick.."
One thing that I thought was challenging is that it looks like it is going to be a mission to milk the cows. I also though that was interesting was that you get to make food with the products you made or grew.
Activity 3 - Think of your favourite song. Share the name of the song, the name of the person who wrote the song and the lyrics from the song on your blog. You must type the lyrics not cut and paste them in order to earn full points for the activity.
Who wrote it -Sam Hunt
Name of the song - Body like a back road
Who sings it - Sam Hunt
" Got a girl from the South Side ,Got braids in her hair
First time I seen her walk by, Man I bout fell up out my chair
Had to get her number, Took me like six weeks
Now me and her go way back, like Cadillac seats
Body like a back road, Driving with my eyes closed
I know every curve like the back of my hand
Doing fifteen in a thirty, I ain't in no hurry, I'm take it slow just as fast as I can
The way she fit in them blue jeans, She don't need no belt
But I can turn them inside out, I don't need no help
Got a hips like honey, so thick and sweet
It ain't no curves like her on them downtown streets
Body like a back road, Driving with my eyes closed
I know every curve like the back of my hand
Doing fifteen in a thirty, I ain't in no hurry, I'm take it slow just as fast as I can
MUSIC PLAYING
We're out here in the boondocks, With the breeze and the birds
Tangled up in the tall grass, With my lips on her
On a highway to heaven, Headed south of her smile
Get there when we get there, Every inch is a mile
Body like a back road, Driving with my eyes closed
I know every curve like the back of my hand
Doing fifteen in a thirty, I ain't in no hurry, I'm take it slow just as fast as I can
I'm take it slow, Just as fast as I can

Activity 2 - Watch this short clip from Country Calendar. What do you think would be the most interesting and/or challenging things about being a farmer? Would you would like to be a farmer when you are older. Why/why not? Give us, at least, two reasons to support your answer.

Activity 1 - Watch the trailer for Moana and then write a summary of the movie on your blog. If you’ve seen the movie, you can include your favourite part! Tell us as much as you can about the movie. What is it about? Who are the main characters in the movie? What do they do in the movie? Where do they go?

Moana is one of my favourite Disney movies because of the characters personality. My all time favourite character is Hay Hay because even though he is a chicken he knows whether he is on land or water. Even though Maui is known as the guy who stole the heart of Tefiti deep down he is a good person. My favourite part in the movie is when Hay Hay finds out he is on the water instead of the land. My favourite song is Maui - Your welcome and Tamatoa - Shiny.

SLJ - Day 3
SLJ - Day 3
Activity 1 - Imagine that you had to form a coalition government with two other people. Who would you choose to partner with?
If I had to choose two partners it would be my older brother because he knows a lot about government rules and he has been studying the government, so he would know a lot about that. I would also have as my partner is my younger brother because he is very smart and has a lot of knowledge about politics.
Activity 2 - Speaking of home, where do you live? On your blog, please post a picture of your hometown and provide a list of three things that tourists, like us, could do if we came to visit. What do you like most about your hometown? (Remember the guidelines for being Cybersmart, and never post your address online).
Auckland is my hometown. I grew up in Auckland and getting to met awesome people and places. If I was a tour guide I would first take them somewhere to eat like a place called Genghis Khan because you can pick your own food and you can see how they cook it. The second place I Full-Day Waitomo Caves & Hobbiton Movie Set Tour because you get to explore the caves. The last place I would take them to is a ice cream place called Pokeno. It's where you can choose out of 100 of ice cream flavours. I am sure that everyone is going to enjoy a day like this.
Activity 3 - Imagine that you are a teacher, and design your own classroom. What would it look like? What furniture would you have? I would love to have some beanbags for reading on.

I have drawn my class I have a tv so that when the children have finished doing there work they can then just have some free time watching what they want. I then have a library for children that are like me to do some reading because it is good for us. I then have a beanbag so that they can also relax while reading. Last I have a desk for children so that they can sit up and write.

If I had this much money I would first take 100 Million and split it equal with my family.
I would then put at least 50 Million towards StarShip Hospital.
After that I then have at least 150 million and I would then put 20 million aside for back up in case something happens and I need money.
I would then put that 130 million towards my city and help families have the house of there dreams. Also give a place for homeless people to stay and have a roof over there head like I do.

When it comes to Birthdays we usually go out like for dinner or lunch. Then right after that we then choose something from the Warehouse. Then after we go and get the cake we either get 2 or even 3 cakes but when it's you're 13th or 16th birthday you get 4 cakes and 3 cheesecakes. For the last minute of your birthday you get to choose what you want for your room but you have one hour whether it's 3 phones or even 4 tablets. You get to keep it all. This is what we do for our birthdays.

On your blog, tell us what you think. Should students have to pay money (tuition fees) to go to university? Why or why not?
I think that we should not be paying in order to go to university because we are doing it for our education. Some of us can't even afford to go to university because it is to expensive for us. If we don't pay for tuition fees then we would be able to all learn and have an education. Therefore, I personally think that we should not be paying for tuition fees.

Activity 1 - In 1990, one of the largest national parks in New Zealand, Tongariro, was listed as a World Heritage Site. It is a truly spectacular place to visit! Thousands of people go to Tongariro every year and hike the Tongariro Crossing. Visit the Tongariro website to learn more about the one-day hike.

On your blog tell us what you would need to pack if you were going to hike the Tongariro Crossing. What should you bring with you? Write a list of at least 5 items.
Other than making sure that you have the right equipment, what else should you do before heading out on a big hike? Click here to learn how to stay safe while you’re hiking.
1. Water bottle full of water.
2. A sleeping bag
3. Clothes
4. Food
5. Hiking Shoes
I would take these equipment's because they are really important when out in nature. You would need a water bottle and food so that you don't have low blood sugar and to keep you hydrated. A sleeping bag just in case you decide to camp while you are hiking. Hiking shoes so that you don't get sore feet while hiking. Last but not least extra clothes so that in case you get wet or even if you get cold then you know that you have extra clothes.

Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Activity 2 and 3
Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Activity 2 and 3
Activity 2 - Imagine that you are a student in the 1980s and you’re about to graduate from high school. Where would you like to go on your big OE? On your blog tell us which country you would visit and give us three (3) reasons for your choice. Find some pictures on the internet of things that you would like to see and do in this country.
I have many places in mind where I would want to visit for a while but I would want to go to South Korea because they are very smart and have good education. If I did go to South Korea I would want to go and see how they create technology. I would also go to South Korea to see what famous people live there..
I would next visit America because I would want to visit all the theme parks like WALT Disney World. I would also want to go there because I would want to see if there food is different or better than New Zealand food. Last but no last I would want to go there and see if I would met any celebrates while I'm there.
The last place I would want to visit is Australia and see how the weather is over there. I would also want to go and see if I would meet the cast of one of my recent favourite TV show, which is Dance Academy because it was filmed in Australia Sydney. I would also want to see if they teach any different to New Zealand and see if they are smarter than New Zealand people/ Kiwis.
Activity 3 - In 1982, Te Karere, a Māori-language news show premiered on television. It has continued to stream live on TV to this day. If you would like to watch it, turn on TV One at 3:55 p.m. each weekday and you will see it. The show is often hosted by a man named Scotty Morrison.
Imagine that you were Scotty Morrison and you were able to interview anyone you wanted. I would choose to interview our new prime minister, Jacinda Ardern. I’d love to know what it is like to be the Prime Minister. What about you? Who would you choose to interview and why? What would you like to find out?
If I was Scotty Morrison I would want to interview Taika Waititi because he directed one of my favourite Movie Thor - Ragnarok. I would want to find out who inspired him to become a director and how did he feel when he first meet big stars like Chris Hemsworth and many more.??
